Pirates of the Caribbean - On strangers tides - Review

Five stars

Okay, so I went to see this last Thursday, and if I'm honest, I didn't know what I was going to expect. I have always been a big fan of POTC but it had been a while since I had seen all of the other three back to back. So yes, I had kind of forgotten the story. Anyway, I went to see it and it was GREAT. I loved it.
The full list of cast can be found on this website:

I guessed it wasn't going to be the same without Orlando Bloom or Keira Knightley however Penélope Cruz played the part well. I think she is gorgeous!
Basically, Captain Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp) finds out that someone is impersonating him so he goes to London to find out who it is. He later finds out that it is an old rival - buccaneer Angelica (Penélope Cruz) - who has been trying to pressgang a crew of ne'er-do-wells among the city taverns to set sail with the terrifying Blackbeard – who she claims is her father.
Their mission is to find the waters of the legendary fountain of youth, an Indiana-Jonesish objective shared by a couple of other maritime powers.
on their way they bump into a few mermaids. One of the crew happens to fall in love with one of the mermaids, and for the fountain of youth to work he has to try and get a single tear out of her.
Sparrow finds out that 'Blackbeard' isn't such a good person and doesn't care for his pottential daughter. When the crew finally reach the fountain of youth, the crew manage to get two cups full of water from the fountain of youth, and Sparrow mixes the tear into one of the two glasses. - how it works is the person who drinks from the cup with the tear in it will live, and become eternal, but the person who doesnt, dies. -
Sparrow is told by Angelica to give the good cup to her 'father' so he can live on. Sparrow says he will do so, however he switches them, so the evil Blackbeard dies.

Of course I COULD write more, but it was last week sometime and I don't remember it fully.
Its a great film, and I would reccomend EVERYONE to go see it! :D
